CLEDA Appoints Manager of Business Retention and Expansion
The CLEDA Board of Directors recognizes that the overwhelming amount of economic growth comes from businesses that already exist in the region. To that end, they have authorized the hiring of a full time Manager of Business Retention and Expansion. After an extensive search, we are pleased to announce that Wayne Denley has agreed to join us as CLEDA's Manager of Business Retention and Expansion.
Mr. Denley has already been supporting CLEDA on a contract basis in two areas: Synchronist interviews with key employers and as a coach and subject matter expert for our Business Acceleration System clients. These experiences will make his entry into CLEDA seamless and allow us to ramp up our retention and expansion initiatives very quickly.
Mr. Denley will be drawing upon his 37 years of experience in commercial lending, financial management, and strategic planning. He was Area President for Hibernia National Bank and managed the team that put the bank into a market share lead in this region. During those years, he was active in a broad array of community and economic development activities for organizations like the England Authority, the Alexandria Port Authority, the Chamber's Economic Development Council and others.
More recently, he spearheaded the efforts to bring Dragon Boat Racing to the Red River.
He has already begun his work, which is part of our overall Major Employers initiative under Vice President Rick Ranson's direction.
