Sharper has first practice of season; Saints plagued by injuries
This week, All-Pro free safety Darren Sharper practiced for the first time since Feb. While Sharper said he believes he can play, Sean Payton will have the final say. Meanwhile, the Saints continue to be plagued by injuries: right cornerback Tracy Porter missed the last two games, left cornerback Jabari Greer injured his left shoulder, and strong safety Roman Harper is limited with a sore hamstring. On top of that, cornerback Randall Gay was lost for the rest of the season after being plagued by symptoms from a concussion suffered on Sept. 20. Full article.
Saints coming to Alexandria – with the Lombardi Trophy!
The New Orleans Saints are bringing their “Championship Tour” to Alexandria. In addition to the Lombardi Trophy, they will also have displays and other memorabilia from the team's first Super Bowl win. The event, free and open to the public, will "allow fans the opportunity to view special display elements commemorating the team's championship season."
