Economy grows by 2.7 percent in first quarter

The Commerce Department says that gross domestic product rose by 2.7 percent in the January-to-March period, less than the 3 percent estimate for the quarter that the government released last month. Cash for Appliances program begins April 24

The Empower LA Energy Star Appliance Rebate Program begins statewide on April 24. The program gives rebates to consumers who replace existing household appliances with new ones with the Energy Star efficiency rating. Consumers must register for a rebate before they make their purchases, and rebates are on a first-come, first-served basis. Full Article.
