BP payment filings urged
People who lost money because of BP’s massive offshore oil gusher should not hesitate to file for emergency money from the BP claim fund, Feinberg, the fund’s administrator said, noting that the deadline for applying for emergency money is Nov. 23. Feinberg recently faced angry shrimpers, boat workers and other victims at a town hall meeting in Houma. Glenn Poche, a 61-year-old shrimper from Lafitte, said after the Houma meeting that he was dissatisfied with his $600 emergency payment. “He (Feinberg) gave me $3.30 a day to live on,” Poche said. “I can’t pay my bills.” Full Article.
