Creating Successful Committees Workshop
Committees implement much of the work of nonprofit boards and need to work in concert to accomplish their goals. This workshop will cover the roles and responsibilities of board members when serving on committees, typical committee descriptions, recruitment of additional committee members, how to blend the efforts of board and staff and how to use tools to help divide lofty goals into smaller chunks of work which can be acomplished. Participants should bring a copy of their bylaws to the workshop so they can identify the named committees that already exist or should exist in their organizations.
