Southern Growth Policies Board Opens Nominations for 2010 Innovator Awards

Southern Growth Policies Board’s 2010 Innovator Awards focus on community responses to the economic downturn and honors inventive programs that improve economic opportunities and enhance quality of life in the South. They are interested in initiatives that help communities not only react to the recession, but to reposition themselves as a healthier community with a stronger economy in the future.

 

LRA Contributes $23.5 Million Comm. Dev. Block Grant to New Orleans Cold Storage Terminal

Louisiana Recovery Authority, or LRA, will contribute $23.5 million in Community Development Block Grant funding to help construct the new terminal at New Orleans' riverfront cargo complex. Job numbers should increase when construction completes. Full Article
