A Very Merry Market

A Very Merry Market is a three-day extravaganza featuring fine gifts, accessories, and decorative items from across the country.

 

As one of the primary fundraisers for the Junior League of Alexandria, A Very Merry Market provides funds for community projects and the financial support of many agencies in our community.

Cenla Band Schedules CD Release Party

Altar'd, a Cenla-based band, will host a CD release party at the Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center in Alexandria on Saturday, August 28. Social Recall and America's Got Talent phenom Taylor Mathews will also perform. The show begins at 6:30 PM. Advance tickets are $10; tickets will be $15 at the door. All ticket-holders will receive a copy Altar'd's new release, "Divided," as well as a coupon for a free meal from Chick-Fil-A in the Alexandria Mall. Tickets are available from www.itickets.com, www.altardband.com, Meineke Car Care in Pineville, Heart of Worship in Pineville, Tamp & Grind Coffee, and Red River Music.

Nashville Songwriters Association International: REGIONAL WORKSHOP of CENLA

Since 1967, the Nashville Songwriters Association has been advocating for songwriters and musicians from education of the musician to performance rights advocacy work. We are very excited to have a Regional Workshop in CENLA to bring that fervor to the craft of our local musicians. Once a month, we meet together and discuss the craft of the song, the industry of music, and the life of the musician. We also share original songs and offer feedback which helps to continue in the creative process. Besides all of that - we have a great time!

Mature teens and adults, bring your voice or an instrument to plug in and join the fun.  Audience members welcome; please call ahead for large groups.  Alcohol and drug free event.  Admission is free.  Please call the co-op for more information.
