Chouest's company is playing big role in oil-disaster relief
Since
the outset of the BP Deepwater Horizon offshore explosion in the Gulf of Mexico, Edison Chouest
Offshore (ECO), the company owned by future Hornets owner Gary Chouest, has been deeply involved
in many facets of the disaster. The Joe Griffin, a functional but luxurious tow barge, helped
battle the initial fire on the rig and brought the “box” to the site of the spill. ECO, however,
is not at liberty to give any details about what specific Chouest assets are involved or
